Antique 1920s Cream Cotton Slip Midi Dress with Lace Trim

A beautiful and rather elegant antique cotton slip dress, dating from around the 1920s. Made in a buttery cream, almost pale yellow cotton, with fine lace trim around the square neckline and straps. Would be lovely worn as nightwear or styled as a summer dress with sandals or worn-in boots. What makes her especially special is the construction. The whole piece appears to be hand stitched, including the side seams, giving some handmade charm that modern clothing just does not have. A really lovely antique piece that deserves a new life in the modern day.

Condition:

Good antique condition overall and very wearable. The stitching on the pleats is a tad loose in places but still intact. There are slight marks under the arms and one small mark to the upper front bust area. Two tiny pin holes to the lower back. General age-related wear as expected from an antique cotton piece.
