A remarkable antique Hungarian Matyó embroidered table runner, dating from around 1890–1920, with vivid hand-worked flowers in pink, violet, green and soft gold, perfectly finished with long multicoloured knotted fringe on every side.
A multifaceted bit of history you can imagine laid across an old piano, dark wood sideboard or dresser, bringing beauty and colour into any room. It has clearly been made with enormous patience and skill, and feels like a small piece of somebody’s family history ready to live on in a new home.
