Authentic Vintage Women's Military Khaki Drill Jacket – Circa 1950

Own a piece of feminist history with this vintage women's khaki drill jacket. Way before 'safari chic' became a thing, pieces like this were created out of necessity. This authentic 1940s-1950s was the type of standard issue given to a brave woman serving whilst located in hot-weather zones. 

Whilst the exact provenance has been difficult to place, this jacket was genuinely issued to and worn by a female service member. It proudly bears the name 'C. Morris' on the inside tag, as well as the numbers 4313, which are likely military identifier numbers.

Made from heavy duty cotton drill, these jackets were designed to withstand harsh climates and intense routines. Retaining its original belt with its metal roller buckle - a hallmark of 1950s British military gear - the tailoring is exquisite, with the iconic triple-scalloped breast pockets.
