Handmade Vintage Floral Nottingham Lace Bell Sleeve Crochet Dress | Made From Old Tablecloth

It was a pleasure to give this vintage tablecloth fabric a new life as unique maxi dress with vintage-inspired beautifully large bell sleeves. This particular fabric is a really magic heavy cotton Nottingham lace, likely from around 1970, with a mesmerising floral pattern where the individual flowers make the petals of the larger, centre flowers, creating a very dreamlike image. It would make a wonderful, witchy festival dress, or even just a trip to Tesco! You only live once! and you can guarantee you will not be outshone or imitated in this entirely original garment.

Material: Heavy cotton Nottingham lace

Condition: In beautiful condition with some evidence of a previous life with a few small holes in the lace, they do not affect the integrity of the dress and are not noticeable when wearing. We have gently hand-repaired some of these, though others we felt it wasn't necessary. They could be very easily repaired if you wish.

Rescued from a life of being sat beneath tea cups, crumbs and plates, we are so happy to present our latest slow-fashion project: taking old vintage tablecloths made from exquisite fabrics and giving them another life in the form of vintage-inspired dresses. The fabrics are sourced by us, then cut, sewn, and stitched with care and pride in our little English home. Every dress has a hand-stitched collar and French seams throughout. Due to the unique nature of the process and the fabrics used, please expect slight variations here and there, which serve to make each dress even more special.
