Pink Afghan 1960s/1970s Embroidered Jacket Dress

This is an exquisite piece - just look at the hand-sewn details - and it is a real piece of history. It could be worn as a top with jeans or flares, but equally it could be worn as an attractive and eccentric mini dress. It has beautiful belled sleeves and a zip front, and has been put together with remarkable skill and talent.

The nature of Afghan clothes made during this period was that they used all materials and did not waste, so there are always slight variations, which adds to its unique beauty. Upon close inspection, there are seams on one side but not the other. The label is very old and worn so we are unable to make out precisely what is said.

Overall, it is in lovely condition and would make a gorgeous and fascinating addition to your wardrobe.

There are a few signs of wear, such as threads loose in areas. There are some mirrors missing or broken but this is not noticeable when wearing, and it just adds to the charm. Also, there are some minor black marks which may or may not come out, but we did not dare wash it at fear of ruining its beauty.
