Vintage 1950s/1960s Pale Blue Oriental-Inspired Brocade Coat

A very special late 1950s or early 1960s coat in pale blue, adorned with an intricate East Asian-inspired landscape in varying shades. The heavy brocade has a rich, silk-like lustre and holds the coat’s tailored shape to perfection. It fastens with three large fabric-covered buttons and is fully lined throughout. It is the sort of evening coat that makes an outfit complete and transforms even the simplest dress underneath, with many options for styling.

Era: late 1950s–early 1960s

Materials: heavy brocade with a silk-like appearance. Exact composition cannot be guaranteed. We tried to gather enough material to test but wasn't possible.

Length: 36.5”

Best suited to approximately a modern UK 6–10, depending upon the desired fit and what is worn underneath. Please refer to the measurements above.

Condition:

Good vintage condition with a few small signs of age. The lining has a little mark near the bottom and a few tiny holes, pictured. These do not detract from what is a truly beautiful and very wearable vintage piece.
