Vintage Orvis Songbird Cotton Cardigan

This is a remarkably beautiful item, especially for the nature lovers. This vintage, crew neck cardigan from the heritage American company, Orvis (founded 1856), is an exquisite example of knitting artistry. The array of colourful birds are stunning, and they almost feel alive upon this classic intarsia cardigan. The pale blue backdrop is the perfect setting for these birds to sit before. Made from a lovely natural fibre blend of ramie and cotton, it has a wonderful heft and durability whilst remaining comfy and soft. Material: 53% cotton, 47% cotton. The use of ramie (similar to linen) ensures this cardigan will keep its shape and avoid shrinkage for many years to come.

Condition: Great vintage condition. There is some minor bobbling consistent with age and the natural fibres. There's some loose threads on the interior, but these are simply where new yarn colours where used during the knitting process, not holes or structural flaws.

Tag says small, but could fit up to a size 16 depending on fit.
