1920s Art Deco Black Velvet Hooded Coat | Vintage Witchy Gothic Piece

A remarkable and rare 1920s black velvet hooded coat with a majestic, witch-like pointed hood. It fastens at the neck with a really beautiful Art Deco metal clasp/brooch, and the dark velvet has a gorgeous deep, almost liquid look to it, like the ocean at night. Condition

A very wearable antique item in good condition. It has wear that is to be expected for a piece of this age. There is a slight hole where the fastening sits, which could be very easily sewn, and a small rip on the shoulder, around 1.5”, again very repairable and not especially noticeable when worn. A few other tiny holes that are so small they are difficult to photograph clearly on the black velvet, but have been mentioned for honesty and clarity. Just a lovely bit of vintage history.
