Handmade Vintage Floral Hand-Embroidered Applique Cotton Bell Sleeve Dress | Made From Old Tablecloth

It was a pleasure to give this vintage tablecloth fabric a new life as a unique maxi dress with beautifully large bell sleeves. Every part has been completely hand-stitched, and the original fabric itself contains dozens of hours of careful cross-stitch needlework, with each pretty yellow and red flower upon the material done diligently by hand. Everything is symmetrical, something we make sure to do with all our pieces. It would look fantastic with a yellow waist belt, but there are also so many ways to style her. A wonderful witchy festival dress, but also a wonderful dress for any occasion.

Rescued from a life of being sat beneath tea cups, crumbs and plates, we are so happy to present our latest slow-fashion project: taking old vintage tablecloths made from exquisite fabrics and giving them another life in the form of vintage-inspired dresses. The fabrics are sourced by us, then cut, sewn, and stitched with care and pride in our little English home. Every dress has a hand-stitched collar and French seams throughout. Due to the unique nature of the process and the fabrics used, please expect slight variations here and there, which serve to make each dress even more special.
