A gorgeous, Victorian/Edwardian nightdress, composed of thick cotton. It has some lovely broderie anglaise around the chest, neck, and arms, with a square neck and front pleats on the chest. It fastens neatly with one original cotton-covered button, and it is a remarkable cosy collector's piece. Could be worn as a dress with a waist belt and a pair of boots. It is a very good size and will fit up to a modern size 20.
The overall condition is good for its age with no major flaws. There is some yellowing and a few minor marks, but nothing substantial to note.
